Ancoats Inn, Great Ancoats Street

Ancoats Inn, Great Ancoats Street (bottom, centre). (c) Alan Godfrey Maps [1].

At the other end of Great Ancoats Street from its namesake, the Ancoats Hotel, the Ancoats Inn or Tavern opened in 1835 but closed in the 1860s [2].  It was on the corner of Mount Street and The Lane, the other side and just to the west of Every Street.
