Seven Stars, Oldham Road

Seven Stars (left), Oldham Road. (c) Neil Richardson [1].

The Seven Stars stood opposite where Victoria Square is now on Oldham Road.  It stood next to to the Britains Protection as a fully licenced house, but due to an unknown misfortune it was downgraded to a beerhouse in 1848 and the was licence removed altogether in 1870 [1]. Now a gaudy but apparently excellent 'Glamorous' Chinese restaurant and Wing Yip grocery stands in its place.
